INDONAL WOMAN contains Indole-3-carbinol, a substance obtained by gentle extraction from cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, kale, cauliflower, broccoli). It binds excess oestrogens and flushes them out of the body. Women then feel the relief of premenstrual pressure and pain. It is a strong antioxidant.
I3C becomes a very popular natural substance in cancer prevention, especially breast and ovarian cancer *1. Other studies point out the I3C potential in treating several cancer types, especially those related to oestrogen metabolism. *3 There are three major oestrogens – oestradiol, oestrone, and oestriol. Oestradiol is responsible for female sexual development, it stimulates growth and function of female reproductive tissues and secondary female sexual characteristics and it regulates skeletal homoeostasis. Independent US studies *2 show that I3C:
- flushes out harmful oestradiol that increases the risk of cancer
- stimulates the production of new healthy oestradiol
- reduces the risk of cancer
Mastodynia (breast pain) is caused by oestrogen-progesterone hormonal imbalance. The active substance I3C contained in INDONAL®
contributes to the balancing of its levels, thus reducing breast pain.
Since 1991, research has been ongoing on the effect of I3C on diseases caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) as well as on patients with increased risk of breast cancer. Studies using I3C metabolites as clinically-monitored indicators have observed favourable changes in oestrogen metabolism. It has been reported that I3C supplements have been taken for up to 82 months without any I3C-related side effects.
Other studies looked at the use of I3C in 67 women with increased breast cancer risk factors who have taken an I3C dose of 50 to 400 mg orally for a period spanning 4 weeks to 3 months. Similarly to the studies on papillomavirus infection diseases, the results were positive with a favourable change in the ratio of oestrogen metabolites. *2
Indonal Woman Composition, 1 capsule:
150 mg of indole-3-carbinol, corn starch, gelatine (capsule shell).
Dosage:
- Preventive treatment: 1 capsule a day for 3 months.
- In case of a medical finding: 2 capsules a day for 3 months.
- Weight over 70 kg: 3 capsules a day for 3 months.
- Take with food and adequate amounts of water!
Contraindications
- Not suitable for children below 15 years of age, pregnant and nursing women.
- The use is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to any of the product components and in patients taking medication for gastric acid secretion decrease.
Warning:
It is necessary to consult a doctor in cases of reproductive organ diseases. It is not recommended to use the product in combination with antacids, H2 blockers, and proton pump inhibitors; it can be used in combination with medicines, antibiotics and can also be used during radiotherapy as well as in conjunction with contraception. The recommended daily intake must not be exceeded. Nutritional supplements must not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Nutritional supplements must be kept out of the reach of small children. In case of the occurrence of undesirable effects, stop taking the product and consult a doctor. The product odour is characteristic of cruciferous vegetables and does not mean the quality of the product has deteriorated. Store at 10–25 °C in a dark place, no refrigerator required. It is possible the smell is not very pleasant but it is characteristic of cruciferous vegetables that are laboratory processed.
