Indonal Partner contains:
  • Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) is a naturally occurring compound found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, kale, and cauliflower. It is known for its anti-carcinogenic (carcinogenesis is the process by which normal cells transform into cancer cells) and antiviral properties, which are useful in the context of human papillomavirus (HPV) infections.
  • Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and DNA damage, which can contribute to the development of HPV-associated cancers, such as cervical cancer.

Uses:

  • HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
  • Cervical cancer
  • Cervical dysplasia – CIN

Indonal Partner Composition, 1 capsule:

150 mg of indole-3-carbinol, Resveratrol (20%), 20 mg of corn starch, capsule shell: gelatine.

Dosage:
  • Preventive treatment: 2 capsule a day for 3 months.
  • In case of a medical finding: 3 capsules a day for 3 months.
  • Take with food and adequate amounts of water!

Mechanism of Action of I3C:

  • Modulation of Estrogen Metabolism: I3C influences estrogen metabolism, which is significant because estrogen can promote the growth of certain types of HPV-infected cells, particularly in the cervix. Reducing estrogen activity may help decrease the risk of cervical dysplasia.
  • Antiproliferative Effects: I3C inhibits the growth and proliferation of HPV-infected cells. It promotes apoptosis (programmed cell death) in abnormal cells, which can aid in the elimination of infected cells.
  • Antiviral Effects: Some studies suggest that I3C may have a direct antiviral effect, helping to reduce HPV viral load and limit virus replication.
  • Immunomodulatory Properties: I3C supports the immune system in fighting HPV infection, contributing to a reduced likelihood of persistent infection (persistent infection is when the virus remains in the host’s cells for an extended period, either being inactive or slowly multiplying).

Bell et al., in their double-blind, placebo-controlled study, randomized 30 patients with CIN II/III confirmed by punch biopsy. Patients were randomized into three groups where they took a placebo, 200 mg, or 400 mg dose of I3C daily for 12 weeks. *5 Three patients did not complete the study. In the placebo group, none of the 10 patients experienced complete regression of CIN. In contrast, in the group with the 200 mg daily dose, four out of eight patients, and in the group with the 400 mg daily dose, four out of nine patients experienced complete regression of CIN at the follow-up punch biopsy after 12 weeks of I3C use. Today, a daily dose of 200-400 mg of I3C is recommended for at least 4 weeks to achieve a beneficial effect in treating cervical lesions and attempting to clear HPV. *5 The risk of HPV transmission between sexual partners is approximately 60%, so treatment for both partners is recommended.

Warning:

INDONAL® may have reduced efficacy when combined with drugs that reduce gastric acid secretion (antacids, H2 blockers, proton pump inhibitors). INDONAL® is ineffective in patients with a cytochrome P450 mutation. In such cases, indole-3-carbinol cannot influence the conversion of estrogen to 2α-hydroxyestrone. Consult your doctor if you have thyroid issues before using Indonal. Overdosing on INDONAL® (i.e., taking more than the recommended daily dose of 800 mg) has been associated with rare occurrences of balance disorders, tremors, nausea, and the urge to vomit. In some cases, it may cause intestinal gas or a bloated feeling, which typically subsides within a few days. It is important to maintain regular use, as irregular use and discontinuation can reduce the supplement’s effectiveness. Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep supplements out of reach of small children. Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you experience any adverse effects, discontinue use and consult your doctor. The product’s odor is characteristic of I3C and does not indicate reduced quality. Store at 10°–25°C in a dark place; refrigeration is not necessary. If adverse effects occur, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
