Estrogen Dominance – Does it concern you?

And here it is again. My days are approaching. We realize it as soon as we feel changes in mood, nervousness, bloating like a balloon, a face covered in rashes, and we could devour the entire pastry shop window. Men and children tiptoe around us not to awaken the screaming monster within :-). These are just a few symptoms known as PMS. We all take it as something normal, regularly recurring, and inevitable. Well, it’s not INEVITABLE.

These symptoms are just one consequence of hormonal imbalance in our body called estrogen dominance. It is a condition where there is too much estrogen in our body compared to progesterone. Such excess estrogen is a result of improper diet, stress, lack of sleep, long-term use of hormonal contraceptives, use of inappropriate cosmetics, and the overall condition of our environment. If our excretory system is not working efficiently, the body cannot rid itself of excess estrogen, which accumulates and causes complications. Excess estrogen also leads to weight gain because body fat acts as an endocrine organ, producing estrogen. Fat cells contain an enzyme that converts adrenal steroid hormones into estrogen.

And how do we find out if we have excess estrogen?

These are its manifestations:
  • Premenstrual symptoms – mood swings, headaches, fatigue, craving for sweets, bloating, water retention, acne…
  • Ovarian and breast cysts
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Endometriosis
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome
  • Weight gain
  • Infertility
  • Strong and painful menstruation
  • Irregular menstruation
  • Early onset of puberty in girls (before 12 years of age)
Long-term estrogen dominance can have much worse health consequences:
  • Breast and uterine cancer
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Dementia
  • Brain or heart attack

In the case of estrogen dominance, it is necessary to reduce the amount of estrogen in the body and support the production of progesterone.

One way to reduce estrogen levels is to take the supplement Indol3 Carbinol. It is a natural product sold under the brand INDONAL.

It can be taken during our ‘DAYS,’ or we recommend a 3-month course, 1-2 caps daily. The supplement has no side effects.”
